What is madison square mall?

Madison Square Mall was a regional shopping mall located in Huntsville, Alabama. It opened in 1984 and was named after the nearby Madison Square Garden. The mall featured over 100 stores and restaurants, as well as a food court and a movie theater.

Over the years, Madison Square Mall faced declining sales and increasing competition from other shopping centers in the area. In 2017, the mall was permanently closed and demolished to make way for a mixed-use development called MidCity Huntsville.

MidCity Huntsville is set to include residential units, office space, hotels, retail stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The redevelopment project aims to revitalize the area and create a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly destination for residents and visitors.
